3 more die of coronavirus, 54 more infected in Bangladesh

 Bangladesh has confirmed three more deaths from coronavirus disease in the last 24 hours climbing the death toll to 20, said the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control And Research (IEDCR) on Wednesday (April 8). 

Besides, 54 more people have tested positive, raising the total number of coronavirus cases in Bangladesh to 218, the IEDCR added.

Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora, the director of Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), disclosed the latest figure at a press briefing through online from their Dhaka office on Wednesday afternoon.

A total of 33 patients so far recovered, according to IEDCR.

Besides, the death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has crossed 82,000 globally as of Wednesday afternoon.

Coronavirus has so far infected more than 14 lakh people around the world, according to worldometer.
