One person died in Begumganj upazila due to corona in Noakhali. In addition, 61 more people have been newly diagnosed with the corona virus. 19 people have recovered in the last 24 hours. The total number of infected people in the district is 2153, 44 are dead and 966 have recovered.

District Civil Surgeon confirmed the matter on his mobile phone on Wednesday (July 1) at 3 pm. Masum Iftekhar.

He said, their body samples were collected on June 26 and 29 and sent to Abdul Malek Ukil Medical College and Noakhali University of Science and Technology (Nobiprobi) Corona Lab for testing. Later on the night of June 30, their report actually came out positive.

Among the victims are people of different professions. 28 of them have been kept in isolation from the temporary corona virus hospital at Maizdi Shaheed Bhulu Stadium. The number of patients undergoing treatment in isolation in their respective homes is 1115.
