Coronavirus: After father’s death, 2 sons test positive in Khulna

Two sons of a man, who died from coronavirus in Rupsha upazila on Tuesday, were diagnosed with COVID-19 on Wednesday.


 The new patients are—Fahim, 14 and Mahim, 3, sons of the mobile mechanic Nur-Alam Khan. They are residents of Rajapur village.

Confirming the matter, Rupsha upazila health and family planning officer Doctor Anisur Rahman said six samples of Nur Alam’s family members were taken for test on Tuesday. Among them, two of his sons tested positive.  

Besides, three more samples have been collected for testing, he added.

Nur Alam, 43, died while suffering from fever, cough and breathing problems on Tuesday morning. Later, his sample tested positive for coronavirus.

This was first recorded coronavirus death in the district.
