Hospital opens for coronavirus patients in Bogura

2 patients with coronavirus-like symptoms admitted on the first day

The authorities of Mohammad Ali Hospital in Bogura have started admitting patients with coronavirus symptoms from today.

Only patients with symptoms are being admitted to the 250-bed hospital in Thanthania area of Bogura town, our local correspondent reports quoting hospital authorities.

Earlier, the coronavirus prevention committee of the district vacated the hospital on March 24 to make it usable for the treatment of coronavirus patients.

Two patients -- one 25-year-old and another 40-year-old -- with respiratory complications and fever were admitted to the hospital today, said Shafiq Amin Kajal, residential medical officer at the hospital.

A 14-member medical team is providing services round the clock. Besides, doctors and nurses from all hospitals in Bogura will join the medical team as per the roster, Shafiq added.
